Footnotes

Solved

Hello,

I want to create a footnote in a report. I simply want to put a small number next to certain words and then provide the corresponding reference on the same page below, like in any book when explaining a concept.

So, I click on my page which is in default style, insert footnote. It almost works: LibreOffice indeed creates a page at the very end of my document, in "footnote" style with the reference. However, for one thing, it's at the top of the newly created page, and most importantly, it’s not at the bottom of the page I want to edit.

How do I get the footnote to be located at the bottom of the page, which is in default style? (I’ve tried changing the default page style to footnote style but I couldn’t do it).

I’ve been trying for a while, and honestly, these styles seem quite counterintuitive; if anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it!

Best regards,
AshDown

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 75.0.3770.142

Good evening.

In a moment of distraction or fatigue, you accidentally clicked on "End note" instead of "Footnote"!

To fix it,
just select your "little number" in the text and click on "Footnote / End note" ...

Unfortunately not, that's not the case. Seeing that it wasn't working at the bottom of the page, I tried with the end of the page and the result is the same (the only difference being that the numbering changes).

Create a new document with a footnote and an endnote, and send us the file.
If it works for us but not for you, it means there's a problem with your software; you will need to uninstall it and download it again.

But you didn't specify if you're experiencing the same inconvenience with all your text files, or just with your internship report...
 1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/
2) Click [Browse] to select your file (maximum 15 MB)
3) Scroll down to click the blue button [Create Cjoint link]
4) After a few seconds, the second page will appear, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
5) Go back to your discussion on CCM, and in your message, do "Paste".

So yes, I only encounter this problem with this file! So, by comparing it with a "new" file, I was able to find what was wrong with the style of this file!

Thank you for your help which allowed me to find the solution, have a good day!
