I accidentally cut the coaxial cable going from the satellite antenna to the "decoder". Is there a way to repair this cable and how?? Thank you for your help!
Hi Ben 1 you finish cutting your cable 2 you take the end that is screwed onto your decoder 3 you unscrew it 4 you look at how your cable is sheathed at the end 5 you do the same with pliers 6 you screw the end back on 7 and there you are, very happy to have done it all by yourself
But there is an additional problem: between the cut and the decoder, the cable goes through the wall! So I probably need to repair it "on-site". I won't be able to put the decoder's connector at the location of the cut.
connect the central wire (the core of the coaxial) by twisting the wire, then insulate it well with electrical tape, and then connect the outer braid by also twisting make sure no wire from the braid touches the central wire
Good morning, I have a problem with the installation of a local computer network. If someone can help, thank you for assisting me. Have a good day, see you later!
