Hello,

Having purchased an MSI MEG Z390 ACE motherboard, I'm a bit confused because there are two CPU power connectors and I don't know if I should connect both (since I only have one plug on my power supply). Are both connectors necessary, and should I change my power supply?

Thanks in advance.

    Good evening,

    Here is the manual https://fr.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MEG-Z390-ACE.html#down-manual

Look at page 25, it's just to complete an ATX power supply connection...

Pay attention, there are only ground connections on one side and only 12 volts on the other; it's designed to reinforce current distribution...
The two connectors PWR1 and PWR2 are exactly the same and so are the signals... I think that if you connect just one, it will work... and it's not the reason to change a power supply... I even think that if you want to use both, you can make a bridge to connect them...

Or an adapter like this would do the trick.. https://www.rueducommerce.fr/produit/kolink-adapter-4-4-pin-cpu-auf-2x-6-2-pin-pcie-schwarz-32466050/offre-78282302
