Hello,
hello, my old computer running Windows Seven has just died, well, the hard drive, knowing that all the components were at least 6 years old, I switched to a new PC with Windows 10. I want to reinstall my Office 2007 pack on it, knowing that, on the advice of a friend, I deleted the new Office 2017 pack that was pre-installed before I had to buy it ...
my problem: I bought the Office pack with the computer 6 years ago, I have the box, the license number, but .... no longer the installation CD ... how can I do? I tried to recover the information about Office from the old hard drive by putting it in an external case, but it’s not possible, I can’t find the exe file; ...
I am eagerly waiting for your help, knowing that I have some documents to do with Office

  It's crazy, I bought this very expensive software a long time ago, I admit, but it's impossible to find the installation in French.
  
  The only setup I found is on a peer-to-peer site, but the software is in English; however, I was able to activate it with my valid key.

A legal Microsoft Office suite (however, it only includes Word and Excel 2010) in this suite:

    Yes, I know, but this Office suite allows you to have Word and Excel without any activation key, so I suggested it as a last resort if your CD stubbornly refuses to work. However, there are one (or two) possible reasons that could explain why the CD does not work: either over time, the data on CDs or DVDs generally fades (in which case it’s hopeless), or the second possibility is scratches on the CD...

  Just a clarification about the CD, it has been sleeping in its original box since I bought it, so there are no scratches... however, I didn't think that the data could fade over time.
  
  I think Microsoft, through a Windows update, is blocking the boot of the Office 2007 CD...

  I even tried with an external drive, unfortunately nothing works, Office 2007 won't launch.
  
  MPMP10 talks about data that can be erased from the CD over time. What do you think?
  
  In any case, I format everything every year and this is the first time I can't reinstall Office with the CD... and just when Microsoft stops supporting it... Coincidence or planned obsolescence?

  Have you checked in the explorer if the CD is recognized?
  No, if the CD is not used often, it doesn't get erased.
  We have an old XP CD that still works!

  Unfortunately, I can't find anything official to help you.
  If you have another PC available, could you copy your official CD onto another CD?
  I'm doubtful, but you have nothing to lose by trying...

  @tanteelise >> Why bother when for less than €15 you can get an Office Pro Plus 2016 suite >> Here
  Just so you know, I did it not later than 12/05/2017 and had no issues >> Legal, you receive the download link and its key and everything works fine....(the only downside is that this license is made for 1 PC only and not reusable but at this price??)
  If there are any problems or anything else, just keep the email received which has the download link and the license key, and you can reinstall on the same machine (done it without problems)

  As mentioned before, I did this in early December 2017 on my 2 Windows 10-64 bit Pro machines without any issues..
  You download the package from the Microsoft site via the link received and activate it... Personally, I had no trouble doing it, in fact, you just have to read the comments on the link and apart from 3 or 4 cases, everyone seems happy...

  I read everything and in his place, I would do what I propose because for less than €15 it's worth it, but it's up to him to decide (if I hadn't done it, I wouldn't propose it, but I'm confident in my plan!)
