Unlocking phone: code too long

Hello,

I just put the Free SIM card I received into my phone. I was previously with SFR. I enter the PIN code (1234), and I get a message "Enter the unlock code for this phone to authorize this SIM card," with a field to enter a code. I therefore enter the IMEI of my phone, which has 15 digits, and it doesn’t work. It seems the phone is asking for fewer digits (apparently 8). But then, what unlock code does it want?

(You should also know that I asked SFR and they told me my phone was not SIM-locked and that I could use any SIM card.)

Any idea what’s blocking or which code to enter?

Thanks for your help :)

Look on your FREE card (SIM) there should normally be a PUK code!
Enter it and there you go, the topic is closed lol ;)
    keep me posted!

      hi

from memory, I would have said it was the 19-digit code on the back of the Free card but that may have changed ..

Yes, I needed this code to activate the SIM card on Free's site; it didn’t cause any problem. That’s why I really don’t understand what code this is... Oo

Indeed, I had misread your post... it’s an unlocking issue for
mobile that in principle has nothing to do with the SIM card... this code should have already been requested from you at SFR.

Yes, strange. When I insert the SFR SIM card back, it doesn't ask me for this code, the PIN is enough. I think I just have to call SFR tomorrow :)
