Hello everyone,
so here’s my problem.
A few weeks ago, I went to the VAVABID website, an auction site, and I created an account with my personal information. A few days after my registration, I saw an auction listing for paintball, I wanted to check the site, etc., to see if I would actually win, so I bid €1 + €5 in fees. The result: I won, but I didn't actually want to receive the ticket to go paintballing, so I didn't pay. Time went by and now I've received an email from Intrum Justicia asking me to pay, plus an additional €40 in fees, which brings the total to €46. I'm only 20 years old and I wasn't really aware of the terms of VAVABID; I thought it was just a simple auction like eBay.
So please, could you advise me? I'm a bit panicking.

Hello
A little 'friendly' collection involving 'fees' that are undoubtedly illegal (See the T&Cs of the auction site..).
For €46, a procedure seems completely unrealistic.. However, you will experience 'a bit' of harassment..
Familiarize yourself with the 'methods' used:

Dear Sir
Our client VAKANTIEVEILINGEN.BE / VAVABID has referred the claim mentioned above to us for collection. The legally valid notice can be viewed by you via this link.
Please settle the outstanding balance of 46.00 EUR within 15 days from the date of this notice to account BE68 0014 7853 5634 (BIC GEBABEBB) mentioning the structured communication 302/1029/50507.
In case of non-payment or response from you within the indicated time frame, we will be obliged to advise our client to take further measures against you.
Except that here, it's a site that sells merchants' offers through auctions, when the auction is won, it's as if you bought the product... the purchase is then due in itself... these are not sales from individuals.
Furthermore, this is Article 5 of the General Terms and Conditions which also applies, they are available here: https://www.vavabid.be/conditions-generales.html
