Malwarebytes PUP.Optional.Delta

Hello,

During a Malwarebytes analysis it finds 2 "PUP.Optional.Delta" coming from Chrome, if I put these files in quarantine Chrome closes. If I restart Chrome and run another analysis it finds the same 2 PUPs, does anyone have an idea?

There is nothing to disinfect, these are simply isolated detections.

Hello,
for several months I’ve had this problem. Systematically Malwarebytes Premium quarantined "PUP.Optional.Delta" coming from Chrome. It forced Chrome to close abruptly... Not very pleasant.
I tried lots of tools, including the good ZHPCleaner, without success....
In the end, I found in the "Manage search engines" section of Chrome's settings a mention of Delta. I did a little cleanup (direct and very easy). Since then no more warning from Malwarebytes!

Thanks anyway for the CCM experts who indirectly helped me identify and solve the issue.

In general, these are detections in Chrome files or in the cache.
That does not mean Chrome is infected.

The best thing is to reinstall Google Chrome cleanly, by following this procedure exactly: Repair and cleanly reinstall Google Chrome
(If you have a synchronized account, read the following paragraph).


Delete ZHPCleaner, not very useful.
