Hello everyone.
I'll quickly explain my situation.
I linked my wife's Gmail account to mine on my phone which runs on Android (it was easier being abroad with just one phone), and now I would like to unlink them because, of course, I receive all her emails.
I'm worried that if I delete her account from my phone, she will lose it completely even on another device. Before doing anything rash, I'm waiting for your wise advice.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
The Gmail account is independent of the device used.
To avoid any problems, it is better to connect to the webmail directly from an internet browser (that is, without using a messaging application).
To do this, you need to have the email address and password for each of the accounts.
The first thing to do is to check that you can connect to each of the accounts in this way.
The "linking" of accounts is done in the account settings:
Settings / Accounts and Import tab / Check mail from other accounts section.
To "unlink" the other account, simply delete it in this section of the settings.
Best regards
Patrice

thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, my wife's address does not appear in my settings. There is no trace of her account on mine when I log in to the webmail. It's only on Android.
Best regards.
"There is no trace of his account on mine"
And on his account (webmail), is there any trace of yours?
Also check on both accounts that his messages are not being forwarded to the other account:
- directly in Settings / Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- by a filter in Settings / Filters and Blocked Addresses
If you access both accounts directly from the web browser and there is neither import nor forwarding, it's the email application used on your Android that is pulling the emails. You might want to check its settings.
However, to ensure optimal compatibility, you should use the Gmail app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gm&referrer=utm_source%3Dweb_about&hl=fr
Install it instead of the other one.
Sincerely
Patrice
