Screen darkening when switching a game to fullscreen

Hello everyone.

I'm having a really big problem with my screen right now. I'm not sure if it's the screen itself, but I need help. The brightness and colors of my screen are perfect, but when I launch a game in windowed mode and try to switch to fullscreen, the colors go wrong, the screen becomes darker, and this happens everywhere: desktop, games, etc... All the drivers for my hardware and components are up to date. The only solution that brings the screen back to normal is to unplug and reinsert the HDMI cable. ^^ I haven't found any answers anywhere, I hope to find some here.

Thank you.

    Hello,
Could you please let me know which game(s) the problem occurs with?
Have you tried with another screen?
And what are the specifications of your hardware (graphics card and screen)?
Looking forward to your response, have a nice day.

Hello Ebenolt, and thank you for your response. I am the author of the question (PsykO) and I am currently speaking to you from my account because I can no longer talk to you anonymously. The problem occurs in all the games I play, namely GTA 5, Cs:Go, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege. I haven't tried with other screens, but I have the impression that the problem arises when I change the resolution. My hardware is as follows:

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster S24D330 (60 Hz)

Graphics Card: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 745

I look forward to your reply,

      Thank you, PsykO

      Hello,
Indeed, lighter games seem to be having trouble as well, try setting your game to fullscreen by default.
      Check your graphics drivers.
It would be good to try it on a second screen to see if it's the screen or the tower that's at fault.
Otherwise, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling your graphics card.
