How to type the multiplication sign on my keyboard

Hello, my name is Boris and I would like your help.
I just want to know how to do the multiplication sign in Excel.
Reminder: I don’t have a numeric keypad like others because my keyboard asks me to lock the CAPS LOCK key for the numbers every time.

    Hello,
    the multiplication sign for calculations is the *.
    You can find it:
    - on the numeric keypad on the right above the 9 usually
    - next to the enter key
    - by holding down ALT and then typing 0042
