OLYMPUS VN 731PC Dictaphone locked

Hello,

My dictaphone won't turn on, so I changed the batteries. Despite the new batteries, it remains desperately off. I then plugged it into my computer in the hope of retrieving the files on it, but once connected, it stays on "please wait" with the spinning magnifying glass. It's impossible to do anything, not even to turn it off.
I obviously want to be able to use it again, but what I'm most concerned about is recovering the audio files I've already recorded that I absolutely need. Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you very much, have a nice evening.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 59.0.3071.115

Hello,
By any chance, when you turned it on with the Power button, did you not push it all the way up to put it in Hold position, which means locking all the buttons?? The Power button has 3 positions: 1=Power, 2=On, 3=Hold

I have indeed already had that problem, but this time I paid attention, it's not that... Thank you anyway :)
