Chart - Data labels not displaying

Hello,

I am creating graphs illustrating temperature measurements.
I have displayed the maximum temperature reached via a data label.
However, after 15 graphs for which I did not encounter any problems, I am faced with a case where the data label will no longer display despite the checked options (displaying X and Y axes, position aligned above the point...).

Do you have an explanation?

I tried adding a trend line to see if it would unlock something, but without success. Same when deleting and recreating the series corresponding to my max.

Thank you!

Edit: I just tried to manually modify the data of the series for which I want labels. When I modify the first point, the label is associated with it. If I modify any other point in the series, nothing changes. The formula is the same in all the cells of the series...)

Hello,

I finally found the reason.

If it can help some:
Basically, there are two possibilities for adding labels to a curve:
- Either to the entire curve (select the curve and then right click to add labels)
- Or point by point (select the curve, then click again to select a point, then right click to add the label).

If I understand correctly, when both actions are done at the same time, it messes up Excel, which ultimately displays nothing...

It's quite surprising that after so many years of development, we still find this kind of artifact in the functioning.

See you soon!

Hello,
With a Curve type graph, you can easily display values as labels and for a specific point display something else: the name, the name & the value, or nothing.
