Hello,
I’m asking for help my father very often turns up the TV loud at night, that’s why I need help from a TV specialist to tell me if it’s possible to block the sound at a reasonable limit. His TV is a very old one, it’s a Philips 14PT1574/01S
Configuration: Android / Chrome 38.0.2125.102

Hi there,
Have him wear a wireless headset.
I’m hard of hearing myself, and to avoid disturbing the family, I use a wireless headset in the evening.
The other family members can still have their sound at a reasonable volume for their ears, but I can’t hear mine with the headset.
I’ve had this one for many years: https://www.amazon.fr/Philips-SHC5100-transmission-rechargeable-rechargeables/dp/B003YORJX0 -
Does this old TV have a hotel mode or a special feature to mute/block the sound.
Please respond as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance-
Good evening Jean-Claude, I think a response more than adequate has been given to you by Papounet17000, but it isn’t satisfying??? I myself have a Sony MDR-RF811RK wireless headset for watching TV so as not to bother my neighbors in the evening, and everyone is happy. This Sony headset cost me €49, and it’s really worth it for the peace and comfort of everyone. I’ve had it for 2 years: ►►https://www.amazon.fr/Sony-MDR-RF811RK-Casque-sans-Noir/dp/B00I3LUP7G◄◄ You could consider this option rather than making life difficult by trying to “tinker” with the TV, right??? Best regards and have a good evening :-)
