My printer won't print in black anymore!!!

Hello,
I have an HP Deskjet 3070A printer, and I'm experiencing a problem. The prints are no longer coming out in black. The ink level is at maximum, I have no issues with the other colors, and the black cartridge is properly installed. I don't understand what's happening; it was working and then just stopped all of a sudden.
Does anyone have any ideas to help me out? It's really frustrating...

I bought a new black cartridge, I replaced it and still no black ink when printing!!! Does anyone have another idea??? Thanks in advance

Hello 2 ideas 1 perform a macular cleaning of the heads 2 defective cartridge  see you soon -- FC 23 --- Debian 6.0- The best things require patience. (JC ANGLADE)

Thank you for your reply, I have already cleaned the heads, with no results. I didn't think about changing the cartridge but yes, it's definitely worth a try. Thank you.
