Keyboard types symbols instead of numbers

Hello,

I have a Lenovo PC with a QWERTY keyboard. My problem is with the numbers. Every time I try to type a number, a symbol appears instead, even when using the numeric keypad.

    I had the same problem on Windows 7 once... all I had to do was hold down the Fn key while typing and it somewhat solves the problem... for the definitive solution... Google is your friend...
