How to run a .jar file?

Hello,

I downloaded .jar files, and some of these files are installers, but I can't execute them, so I can't start the installation of the appropriate software. When I double-click the icon, nothing happens. I reinstalled JAVA, and there's no change.

How can I run these files? Keep in mind that I only have very little knowledge of computers.

You right-click on the file, then "open with," and then you select "choose the program" and select Java.exe in the explorer.
