Blurry image in pdf

Good evening everyone,
I have a little problem that I can't solve. I need to make a presentation and so I'm using Word to create a file with images (created in Fireworks) that I need to export to PDF format.
Surprise when I see that all the images are blurry in the PDF output while in Word they are perfect, it mainly concerns the texts included in the images.
Sometimes I use the text without anti-aliasing, sometimes smoothed, sometimes auto but I don't think it has anything to do with it although the smoothed ones are slightly less blurry...
If anyone has had this issue and managed to solve it, my presentation is for Monday.

Ok, I see!
There is what's called 'JPEG Optimization' when exporting your files to PDF. If they are files that are not meant to be published on the Internet (reduced size), I recommend choosing a TIFF or TGA Optimization to maintain their perfect resolution!! Or you can set the optimization value slider to 100%, you'll get a large file size but it will still keep the perfect image resolution.
