Yahoo makes its mark in search engines (Chrome or I.Explorer)

Hello,
I'm following up on other discussions that didn't lead anywhere.
No matter what solutions have been suggested to me via the properties of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer, the Yahoo search engine keeps replacing Google’s. It’s obvious that Yahoo has embedded itself in the system because as soon as I open Google Chrome or Internet Explorer, Google opens and is then replaced by Yahoo Search. It’s really a terrible mess that ruins the search experience.
I've tried deleting it in the settings, but it inevitably comes back and even sometimes erases my ongoing search.
I think it’s embedded in the system of the computer itself? I’ve tried all the software to eliminate it, like AdwCleaner, Recuva, RogueKiller, ZHPCleaner, etc., and it’s still there!
Thank you for informing me about this rat hole that is Yahoo!

Configuration: Windows 10, browsing with Google Chrome on Inspiron 17

    Hello,

You have installed adwares and potentially unwanted programs on your PC that open ads and slow down your computer and web browsers.
Here is the procedure to follow to remove them:

    Start with this:

Follow the AdwCleaner tutorial (by Xplode)
This program allows you to remove adwares and potentially unwanted programs:
    • Download it to your desktop or download folder.
    • Run AdwCleaner, click on [Scan].
    • The scan may take several minutes, please be patient.
    • Once the scan is finished, do not uncheck anything, click on [Clean]
    • Once the cleaning is done, a report will open. Copy/paste the content of the report in your next response using copy/paste.

If that doesn't work, use the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com to host the report, give the link to the report in a new message.
Note: The report is also saved under C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt

    Then reset your browsers:
    ==================================
Manually reset your browsers and/or manually reconfigure your web browsers (home page, search engine, etc.) but also remove/disable unnecessary/unwanted extensions:

AdwCleaner is not entirely up to date, but that's okay.
Check if you have a program called Chonium installed, and if so, uninstall it.

Reconfigure the search engines according to the links provided above.
If necessary, perform a zoek cleanup.

I don't have this chonium or chronium program. I had deleted a program (calibre) from my OS (C:) where there was yahoo in the resources.
    Unfortunately, it's still there.

Reconfigure the search engines based on the links provided above.
At the very least, perform a zoek cleanup.

Yes, there is Chromium... not surprising.
    You installed a pack InstallCore.

    Follow the FRST tutorial.
(And be sure to take the time to read in order to apply correctly - everything is explained there).
Download and run the FRST scan, which will generate three FRST reports:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.txt
    • Additional.txt

Send, as explained, these three reports to the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com and in return give the three pjjoint links that lead to these reports here in a new response so that we can consult them.

There is this on Chrome: CHR RestoreOnStartup: Default -> hxxp://searchinterneat-a.akamaihd.net/h?

        do the last step:

Uninstall/Reinstall Google Chrome as explained in the second paragraph of the FAQ: Reset / Repair / Reinstall Google Chrome

    No worries =)

Here it is, it’s finished, you can delete the programs used.

    A few tips:

To prevent malicious sites, you can install Blockulicious: https://forum.malekal.com/viewtopic.php?t=46656&start=

To avoid being taken in again.
    Read - Parasite programs / PUPs: https://www.malekal.com/adwares-pup-protection/
(Especially activate the LPI detections to detect parasite and ad programs)

Thank you, I’m noting all these addresses.
I subscribed to the news. I installed Blockulicious.
However, I didn’t install any antivirus; Microsoft certified that their system was sufficient. What do you think? Of course, as long as I don’t do anything reckless and, according to your phrase that I like, "Think before clicking, not the other way around!"
Well, I’m waiting for your response and I’ll mark the subject as resolved.
      Best regards,
      Didlan
