Tablet Firmware

Hello,
I will explain the situation, and I want to start by apologizing if my sentences are not well formulated.
Last Christmas, I bought a "Lazer" tablet model "MID11D9". It's an entry-level device, and its memory is so low that I can't even do the basic updates without filling up the memory. Anyway!
When I launch an application, even the original ones, there is a great risk that it will stop working. I had this issue the very day I opened it. I don't have the warranty papers, and even changing it would be useless.
From my limited knowledge, I would say that the firmware is on a buggy version. But the problem is that I can't do a BIOS update on this model!
I wanted to know if there is a way to upgrade to a more recent version using a PC? Rooting is probably feasible for such procedures, even though it's not very legal. Please understand that I do not want to have a tablet sitting in the cupboard just collecting dust (which it already does, which is why I'm expressing my frustration).
Thank you for helping me :-)
Ps: Any misplaced criticism, like on many forums, is kindly asked to go away.
Looking forward to your response, have a nice day.
