Hello,
Currently in my final year of science, I have to submit a project in a few days that I've worked on throughout the year as part of engineering sciences. One of my tasks is to model the characteristics of a solar panel. I am using the software Scilab, however, I'm having some understanding issues with this model. It is functional, but there's something I don't understand:
Why do we divide the irradiance by 1000 and then multiply it by the short-circuit current (icc)?
I am attaching an image of the model for better understanding.
Hoping to find help among you.
Best regards

Good evening,
CCM is a computer forum and the programming section deals with software development.
Your question here concerns the physics of a photovoltaic cell. It’s unlikely that a user here will be able to answer you; you should turn to physics, electronics forums, or companies in that field.

Moderating leads me to intervene in many posts, but the only languages I know are C# and a bit of VB. For your code, please consider syntax highlighting.

Before asking a question that will have no answer, it would be wise to read the discussion.
And here, politeness is not optional.
