Desaturate an image in InDesign

Hello,

Is it possible to adjust the saturation of an image, or its contrast, etc. directly in InDesign (without going through Photoshop)?

    InDesign being a layout software, it cannot modify an image..
    What you can do is adjust the overall density of the image, apply transparency to it.
