How to insert accents on text messages?

Hello,
I just got a "Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite" and I'm having some trouble inserting accents in texts.
I've seen some answers to similar questions but they're not working.
So if you could give me some little tips to achieve this, that would be perfect.

Thank you for your response, but it is indeed the "azerty" keyboard which still has accents.
