Hello,

No wifi connection is available on my PC.
It happened overnight. I've had my computer for a year now, and I hadn't had this kind of problem before.
Absolutely no wifi connection is showing up.
This is the case regardless of the connected account, my location, the time, my PC's mood, and the airplane mode is definitely off.
I really don't know what it's due to.
I tried to do a system restore, but it didn't work because apparently my antivirus is blocking it, even though I haven't had an antivirus for a few months...
I've tried a few other operations like "ipconfig/new" or something like that, but it didn't work.
I looked through some discussions, but I didn't find any truly similar cases at least, and I didn't really understand the proposed solutions.

I hope someone can help me (I've been having a lot of computer issues lately haha).

Thank you.

    Good evening,
Is the WiFi signal being received by other connected devices (tablets, smartphones...) ?
If so, the WiFi card in your PC may be faulty, or its driver is incorrectly installed.
On the other hand, if no WiFi signal is being received by any connected device.
In that case, it might be your box that isn't sending the signal, try to reset it.

One problem = one solution, the whole point is to find it :-)

Thank you for your response. I also think it's due to the network card, but I don't know what to do in this situation.
I know it's not due to my modem, because the other devices are working.
My computer doesn't detect any connection, neither mine, nor my neighbors', nor public wifi, etc.

    Hi,
In that case, either your card is improperly installed or its driver is faulty, or it is dead; you should try with a WiFi dongle to see:
    http://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informatique/reseau/carte_dongle_wi-fi/index.html

But before doing anything, try connecting your computer via Ethernet to see if it works.

So for the Ethernet dongle, I can't use it since my notebook is too thin, I don't have a port, and I've lost the "adapter" I had for the Ethernet cable :s

Do you know if I can reinstall the network card and how to do it?

As for the Wi-Fi dongle, enlighten me, does it replace the defective network card? That would be perfect for a temporary fix while I look for a solution! Even though I can't see myself doing that in the long term :)
      Thanks a lot!

    Hi

Let's first check the configuration of this PC:

Press and hold the Windows key, press the R key, and release everything

Type (or copy/paste to avoid typing errors) into the dialog box that has opened

    cmd /k netsh i s i>int.txt && ipconfig/all >> int.txt & notepad int.txt

    Then click on Ok

Copy/paste what appears on the screen in your next response.

Sorry if I didn't include everything, I don't know what these information mean, so I only selected what the adapters had in common. Feel free to let me know if additional information is needed to understand what the issue is, and thank you very much for your help!

In any case, the Wi-Fi adapter allows me to connect, so I am relieved and I think it was indeed the network card that was the issue. But it's not very convenient. So I hope this will be temporary :)

I think the report is still not complete

The Ethernet card (cable) is missing, which appears to be connected, and there is no wireless network card apart from the USB key.

    Re,
You can indeed try reinstalling the WiFi network card driver; go to the device manager to see if it appears there.
As for the WiFi dongle, it does replace a defective network card, which can be very convenient:

Thank you very much, bazfile, I will choose the wifi key.
In the device manager, I see several network adapters, so I don't know which one to reinstall and according to the "properties," they are all in good condition.
What should I conclude from this?
And which one should I reinstall? Unless it's not the network adapter that is defective?

In the Device Manager, your WiFi network card should appear as Wireless.

    Hi

    Which notebook? Brand? Model?

Don't you have a key combination like Fn+F2 that turns the Wi-Fi on or off?

Or a button that does the same thing?

    Otherwise,

yet I haven't had an antivirus for a few months ...

I have a Samsung notebook model NP 905 S3G, I believe. It's the "lite" version.
So I don't think it's related to the Wi-Fi activation. The button I have is used to activate airplane mode, and I have disabled it, which didn't solve the problem. In the settings, the Wi-Fi is connected, but the PC indicates that there is no available connection. The cases similar to mine on this forum refer to an issue with the network card.

So I wanted to perform a system restore to revert my PC's configuration to a state where this issue didn't exist, but my PC indicates that it didn't work because my antivirus blocked it. So no restoration is possible.
I hope I have clarified my situation better :)
