Power button issue
Hello,
please I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron N5050, the power button is not working anymore. Now I have my laptop on and it works correctly for 2 hours, but the power button does not respond anymore. I press it and it doesn't turn off, and for starting it, I managed to turn it on with this button but by pressing it many times and plugging in my charger.
My problem now is that I can't turn it off with my power button, and therefore if I turn it off, I can't start it again.
P.S.: I carefully disassembled my Dell yesterday and this happened from the start. Is my motherboard dead, or is my power button making a faulty connection?

Under the power button, there is an electronic board that manages this feature; it is not necessary to change the motherboard. I invite you to consult the following manual:
