NSE URC20-C4B Remote Controller

Hello,

I have an old Protech LTV 5540PS TV but my kids destroyed the remote control. I bought a universal NSE URC20-c4b but I can't get it aligned. If it's on standby, nothing happens; if a channel is visible on the screen, after a few minutes it goes back to standby when I do the automatic scan with the remote control.

Any advice?

    What you're explaining is not very understandable.
    What do you mean when you talk about aligningr?

    I think I can guess that what you're trying to do is find your TV's code.

    If you're trying to do this while the TV is on standby, it's obvious that it can't turn off, since it's already off!

    Whether a channel is visible or not doesn't matter, your screen needs to be on. And, read your manual again, when it turns off it's because a code has been found.

      Yes, by align (sorry, French is not my native language), I meant that the remote finds the code. I wasn't sure, given the age of my TV, that they would be compatible. So from what you're telling me, they are.

      I now need to find the code manually; when I initiated the automatic search, either it found nothing (TV on standby) or it put it on standby, and every attempt was unsuccessful.

      I will go over the instructions you posted in other messages and try again.

    It's for the URC22 but they are the same.

    While digging through my drawers, I found the manual for the URC20-C4B, unfortunately, I couldn't find a code for your Protech TV, I'm sorry.
