Hey, everyone.
Actually, it's very simple, I'm in a voting contest where you can vote only once every 10 minutes, per IP.
And I'm busting my ass trying to find voters, while some players are already at 7000 points... (votes are made 10 by 10) the average is 2100 points for now!
So I would like to know if this person is cheating or has done something shady to expose them...
I would like to know how this person is doing it.
Thanks!

Hi,
IP control is not reliable because you can change your IP as you wish with, for example, a VPN or Tor, and thus vote every 5 seconds instead of every 10 minutes. However, the organizers know this very well, so complaining about it won't do you any good. Forget about this pointless contest and move on to something else.

(well not quite about the VPN because behind the tunnel it's the "proxy" IP that appears, the gateway that routes the packets through the tunnel) apparently...
As for TOR yes, I hadn't thought of that... You just need to reconnect... (for those with a dynamic IP, it's also enough to restart the box for a new DHCP request to be made..)
However, some of the "big" TOR servers are known, and it seems that certain heavyweights of the web industry refuse them....
