Connection issue with the Proxmox web interface

Hello,
I installed and configured Proxmox VE2. I can connect without any issues directly to the host, but when I try to connect to the web interface with the same credentials: login failed, please try again.

Realm: Linux PAM

Can someone help me?

    Hello,

    try changing the authentication type by setting PVE authentication, it will work if the user was created in Proxmox and not in the system.

    The default account authorized in Proxmox at the system level (so Linux PAM) is root.

    I changed the connection type but it’s still not working, plus I noticed that /etc/pve is empty.

    Could there be a link?
