Hello everyone,

I'm wondering how to decrease the wanted level when the police are searching for you?
For example, you have 2 wanted stars from the police, but how do you get back to 1 star and then 0 stars?

Thanks for your help.

Hi choco000078,

Well, indeed, you have the option to enter a code that cancels searches or deletes all searches... but hey, let's be fair play... And it's way more fun to evade the police than to get rid of them like that (at least, that's my opinion... it's actually my recent good resolution "stop cheating" ^^).

So, to summarize, you have several options (most of them have been given to you, but I'll recap):

- You can hide in your house (whichever one...) and wait patiently... but if you have more than 2 stars, you’ll be waiting a long time...

- If you're not on a mission, save in one of your houses... it passes 8 hours and the police forget about you... It's also handy when you run out of weapons... you kill a cop, take his guns... you kill one or two of his buddies... you save... and then you keep the weapons and the cops don’t care (and if it was in front of your house, you might just get a chance to recover their bike or car... nice, right? especially since police bikes go really fast and the sirens of police cars make all vehicles get off the road... ^^)

- You can also get your car repainted cheaply (the garage is marked on the map with a spray can)... it’s quite nice too when your car is heavily damaged... As soon as it’s repainted, wait for the stars to completely disappear...

- You can find hidden police stars... they reappear after a (long) while... and they only take away one star... (there’s one not far from your first house... in the alley that runs behind the bingo in your neighborhood (the clothing store).

- You can flee but you better be very fast... the stars go down only if the police cannot see you... I only manage with this solution when I am at one, maybe two stars... because the game makes police reappear in front of you and behind you...

- Hide in a very far alley from a road... a little frequented place (the forest works too).

- If your fear is losing your weapons and money when you get arrested outside of missions, find CJ's girlfriend (who is a cop)... just the fact of dating her will get you out of jail for free and without losing your weapons... But since you're at the beginning, don’t look for it... it’s in the last part of the game...

NB: the solutions where you hide and flee work as long as you don't have helicopters on your tail... because then, they find you everywhere... and shoot...
In my opinion, the two best solutions are:
- In mission, the garage to repaint your car
- Out of mission, a save in your hideout...

You need to flee or hit AEZAKMI (it's to never be searched) or ASNAEB (it's to reset the search level to 0)

In the countryside, yes, but very far from the roads... The quad and motocross tracks are pretty good... the tunnels too, where the trains go... there's one not far from CJ's place...

Keep in mind, generally where there are pedestrians, there is police...

And now that I think about it, I’ve never tried it, but give it a shot at the very top of the very tall skyscraper not far from the nightclub and the big park, in the very first city... At its base, there’s a door that takes you directly to the top... and if you want to get home without worrying about the cops on the ground, there’s a parachute at the top of that building... just be careful:
- To choose the right direction
- To check that, at the spot where you jump, you have enough space to jump and open your parachute... there are places where you won’t have time...

I noticed that some internet users have.. how can I put it, confused you by offering corrupted codes or the opposite effect...
So here are several options:
_You can hide at home and save your game, which advances it by several hours (6, I believe)
_ Or (the most fun in my opinion) you start a chase with the cops... it could be amusing since the cops aren't very bright so they crash into anything (like speeding through schools and stuff... xD)
_ OR the solution that I like less but is still quick and very effective if you're on a mission and don't have time for a little chase.
At that point, there are several codes on different platforms
