2 of my clients subscribed to Canal Sat told me that the TV would turn off and then back on by itself in just a few seconds
The third one (not subscribed to Canal Sat) told me that when he was watching a DVD, he had the same problem
After contacting Samsung, a setting in the service mode menu needs to be changed

Personally, I had an LCD TV LE32s86bdx... and it broke down 4 months after use. The screen was pixelating and then I felt like I was looking at a photo negative, the contrast was dreadful. I just got a new one after a month of exchanges with Samsung, finally they gave me a store credit where I had bought it.

Hello everyone, I also had this problem! (I couldn't connect, get the image and sound on my TV). But after thinking it over, I managed to solve the problem! If you want, I will explain how I did it. So, first of all: - Check on your computer that you have a TV output. (either on the video card or graphics card, or directly on the motherboard)  - If so, you need to buy the necessary equipment.  - 1st : - a SCART / RCA & S-HVS adapter  2nd: - a Male/Male S-HVS cable (length: depending on the distance from your TV to your PC)  3rd: - a double Male-Male RCA-Audio cable (length: ...)  4th: - a 1 Male Jack / 2 Female RCA adapter.  - Now let's move on to the connections. First, plug the SCART adapter into your TV. Then, connect the Male Jack / 2 Female RCA adapter to your computer (where your speaker is connected). Now, just connect the TV to the computer using the cables. Take the Male/Male S-HVS cable and plug one end into the SCART adapter which is connected to the TV. Then take the other end and plug it into the TV output of your computer. With this cable, you have the video. Now you need to connect the double Male-Male RCA-Audio cable. Normally, you should have a red end and a white end on each side of the cable. Plug one side of the cable into the SCART adapter and the other into the Male Jack / 2 Female RCA adapter. You have the audio with that. That's it, everything is connected, but it’s not over! You're probably wondering why you can't see anything! That's normal! Now, restart your computer! On your computer desktop, right-click and go to properties. Go to the settings tab. You should normally see 2 rectangles, one larger with "1" inside and the other smaller with "2" inside. Click on rectangle number 2. At the bottom, you should normally have a small checkbox. By checking this box, you normally activate the extension of the Windows Desktop to this monitor. Press the AV button on your TV remote until you see something appear on your TV. Additionally, by checking this box, you have the option to check the other box just above it. Check both boxes. You should normally see your desktop and everything on your TV!  That's it! It's finished! When I adjust the volume, a "Headphones" icon (black and purple) appears that I can't get rid of.
I don't have any headphones plugged in, and I can't find any reference to this visual in the documentation.

I find in this forum the problems that I myself have with my PS42S5H.
My plasma, which is 2 and a half years old, after 15-20 minutes of use, though it can happen at any time, stops displaying anything regardless of the video source. I still have sound, but no image.
Switching between video input modes (video 1, video 2...) sometimes allows me to get the display back, but turning it off, or sometimes even a power cut, allows me to regain the display. The strangest thing is that it can function properly for hours after going through this phase of malfunction.
Does anyone have an idea to help me? Maybe a part needs to be replaced.

If you bought your flat screen a few years ago, you probably paid a hefty price like I did, because since then prices have dropped significantly, that's an argument to try since you paid a lot for an object that depreciated too quickly. Here's my case: I bought a LCD TV LE40R74 bd at DARTY for 1990 euros in November 2006, and in January 2009  there was no more picture, just a constant clicking from the diode. After intervention by the Darty technician (hum, 5 minutes to break everything for 63 euros, damn) >> diagnosis was that the power supply board needed to be replaced for around 300 euros, not including  labor costs).  So for anyone reading this message, avoid Samsung (LCD or plasma, same battle), and enjoy  your screens.

I opened it by removing the back panel (taking off the central panel and the plastic piece with the cable passage) and I replaced the 2 Y buffer boards on the left. They are references LJ41-02760A and LJ41-02761A. Not more complicated than changing a card in a PC....

I then access a menu offering me 4 or 5 choices (I can't remember exactly), and in the menu, I apparently need to go to ADJUST, but I don't have any option like that. I'm looking to disable the so-called WATCHDOG mode and also disable automatic updates via terrestrial waves.

Could you please indicate to me precisely if the manipulation I'm trying to do is a good thing considering the model of my TV? I also want to clarify that I successfully updated the TV software using a USB stick!

Above all, do not buy Samsung!!!!!  I bought a 32" LCD TV a month ago and today I'm stuck with a TV that turns off by itself; the sound works, the LCD panel too, but the backlighting is malfunctioning. What should I do? Well, I call Samsung explaining the problem, knowing that my TV had a 2-year on-site warranty (that's also why I bought it...). And then what do they tell me? Well, sir, the warranty no longer applies to 32" TVs but only from 37" onwards! I need to take it 200 km away to an authorized service center!! At that point, I don't believe him, say goodbye, and go see a friend in the computer industry. He tells me that the technician said that to make it cheaper for them (considering that a technician traveling 200 km from the location costs around €1,000...) knowing that there are people who easily believe it... He also tells me that you should always ask for a written record signed by the management if you are told things that differ from the warranty contract. This paper allows you to take legal action if there is a real problem... Confident (due to the accuracy of the information I had regarding the warranty, meaning 2 years on-site), I call them back and throw everything back at them! And then, I'm told that since May, 32" TVs have not been covered on-site anymore. So I reply that that's not what it says on the website and that in any case, I want a technician at my home! He still tells me that it's not possible... So I tell him that I want everything we just discussed in writing, signed by management! And then he dares to say that I need to write a letter to management to get this information!! But this is crazy!! They are completely out of their minds!! They don't care about their customers at all!!! Completely disheartened, I at least ask him to cover the shipping costs! And the same response, basically "figure it out yourself!!"  I really don’t know what to do... that's why I strongly advise against getting a Samsung TV! Broken down after 1 month and a terrible customer service... the whole package...  In any case, if anyone has a solution, I’m all ears!!!

Good evening, I've had a Samsung plasma display PS-42C96HD for over a year now, but for the past month, I haven't been receiving any channels. As of today, when I turn on my TV, I only get a screen full of black and white static; I have no channels and can barely see any figures. I'm also thinking that I've messed with my menu so much trying to get my channels back that it might be my fault, but what's strange is that it happened all of a sudden. Please, I'd like some help and explanations if anyone has an idea. Thank you, because I'm starting to get really frustrated!!

Be careful with the SAMSUNG laptop, it’s crap, and on top of that, the warranty is a real scam,  I bought a Samsung with a 1-year warranty and it started glitching after 2 months, and they didn’t even answer the phone for the repair process, they are crooks, anyway a month later they said that the computer is not repairable and that they would offer a commercial solution, .... well, you need to reach them by phone first to find the commercial solution, anyway I’m still without a computer, and why? Because SAMSUNG MAKES FRAGILE PRODUCTS (CRAP, OK), EVEN MY SAMSUNG PHONE DOESN’T WORK  BE CAREFUL SAMSUNG IS CRAP

We have the same problem of television interruptions (sound and picture) occurring randomly, often after a few minutes of being turned on, around noon and around 6:30 PM. It stops after about 15 minutes, and we can enjoy the programs; but what an inconvenience!!! We have changed the decoder, changed the satellite dish LNB, had a technician come in where we purchased the PHILIPS plasma TV, but nothing works!! Can anyone give us the solution????
