Thunderbird problem

Hello to you, I have had an error message since this morning with a Hotmail account
The STAT command failed. Error while retrieving the size and the number of messages. The POP3 server at pop3.live.com replied: Exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period. Reduce the frequency of requests to the POP3 server.
I have therefore limited the frequency to 1 minute, but nothing changes and on the net nothing of real help ...
