Hello

I just turned on my computer and HP is asking me to load Quick web.

I can't get out of it and turn off my computer.

What should I do since I'm not interested in Quick web?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Henri

    HP QuickWeb is an innovative suite of applications accessible within seconds of powering on the computer. HP QuickWeb operates outside the Windows operating system of the laptop and allows you to check your email, browse the web, chat via instant messaging and Skype, listen to music, and view photos quickly.
    The QuickWeb applications: Pidgin messaging, Splashtop web browser, Skype, Conversation, photo viewer, and music player are similar to applications found in the Windows operating system environment: online email (Gmail, Yahoo Mail), Internet Explorer, Skype, instant messaging, and MediaSmart. However, since the IOS (Instant On System) loads before the Windows operating system, the QuickWeb application must be configured individually. Thus, configuring the email server settings in Windows does not automatically configure the instant messaging program Pidgin in QuickWeb.
    QuickWeb runs in the IOS environment, allowing applications to read data from the hard drive, but not to write data to the hard drive. Therefore, if data needs to be saved in a word processing program or spreadsheet, simply click on the Windows launch icon to switch to the full Windows operating system. To review the features, see QuickWeb Applications.
    QuickWeb and Windows do not use the same hardware and software driver configuration settings. Therefore, after configuring the Network, Browser, and Messaging settings in Windows, you must configure the same settings in QuickWeb. Similarly, the date and time settings of the computer's clock must be configured so that both operating environments use the same Time Zone and Daylight Saving Time settings.

    This is on the HP website

    So install it and then disable it ;)

      thank you for your reply;

      I will therefore install it and uninstall it right away.
      What strikes me is why I suddenly had this "pollution" on my computer when
      I hadn't done anything for it!! Can we protect ourselves from it?
      It's frankly annoying, especially for a novice like me!
