My PS2 controller is on but it's not working

Hello,
I have a small problem with my PS2. When I turn on my controller, it lights up normally, but when I press the buttons, nothing works, even though it's still on. It might be something to do with the PS2.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 10.0

    It's hard to answer.
    It's probably your controller that's broken; the best thing would be for someone to come to your place with a PS2 controller to see if the issue is with your console or the controller.

    If it's your controller --> Either it's dead, you buy a new one, or you can try changing the batteries.
    If it's your console --> clean the slot where you plug in your controller or, if that doesn't work, have someone come to fix it.
    (Otherwise your console might also be dead).
