Playing LAN in Call of Duty BO2

Hello,
so my brother wants to buy Call of Duty Black Ops 2 with the zombie DLC, but first he would like to know if he can install the game on 2 different PCs (his and mine) considering that we have the same IP so we can play locally together. It's important to note that neither of us has a CD/DVD drive...
so the purchase should be made online, on Steam or something similar.

    You need 2 BO2 games to play together, otherwise you can play on the same box.

    Could you provide more details knowing that we are under the same roof, therefore under the same internet subscription (Free).
    I would find it stupid to have to buy 2 copies of the same game to play locally with my brother.

    On Steam, this is possible (I remind you that we do not have CD players).

    It's simple, you need 2 games. You cannot play on 2 different PCs with the same Steam account even if you are under the same roof, so you need 2 games whether locally or online as well.
