Difference between the theatrical version and the extended edition of a movie

As you surely understood my question, I want to download a movie but I see that it is written after the movie name either Long Version and/or Extended Edition. I want to know the exact difference between the two?
Please be precise in your answers because my French isn’t very good.

    If I understand correctly, Extended version and Long version, it's the same thing, right?

      C'est ça oui, les termes anglais "Extended version" veulent dire en français "Version longue".
