Adi 4.0 under XP

Hello, I bought a used CD for Adi 4.0 for my son. It's a CD from 1997. My son's computer runs XP and even when I try running it under Windows 95 it doesn't work. I tried on my computer which runs Windows 7 and it's the same.

When I insert the CD it says "font installation failed" and then "unable to open registry key" before I have time to do anything. Then it seems like it installs but the game won't start afterwards. It says it will put an icon on the desktop, it doesn't, and it restarts the computer and it doesn't restart. What should I do? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,
    You’re not alone in this... This version runs under Windows 95 or 98 but is not compatible with XP or later versions. Unless you find an old machine with Win 95 or 98, an old Mac System 7.1, or a PowerPC lying around in an attic, I fear you’ve invested in vain.

    Could it perhaps work under Linux with Wine?

    Hi there, yes I think I’m going to have to return it, but isn’t it strange that even with compatibility set to 95 it still doesn’t work?
