Hello,

I can’t explain how, but overnight (maybe due to an automatic driver update on my PC), I no longer have sound on my Logitech X210 2.1 system!
More specifically, I have sound, but it's very low even though the volume is set to maximum in the Realtek audio manager (driver version 6.0.1.6662) and in the Windows 7 volume mixer.

It’s very strange because I have a small wired controller with an ON/OFF button and a dial to lower/increase the volume that is connected to the sub and the two speakers. Before, if the button was OFF, I couldn’t get any sound, whereas now sound is coming through no matter what the position is, and it only adjusts the volume of the sub.

* I tried reinstalling the audio driver, but it didn’t help.
* As for the Realtek audio manager: I configured it to 5.1 speakers with front speakers and sub, allowing bass management
* At first, I thought the wired controller for the speakers was dead, so I bought a Z313 2.1 system, but the problem is EXACTLY the same, gRRRrrr... lol
* I’ve searched the forums, but nothing helped me.

If a kind soul could help me!
Thank you in advance ;)

Connect your two small speakers to the subwoofer in the jack socket that is intended for it.

........just simply! nothing makes sense! how could it have worked before!? that's the whole question.....

So indeed, the jack plug on the back of the sub completely escaped me. The connections are now good, and no miracle, everything works perfectly!!! phew what a relief!

I don't know how to thank you, really thank you for your persistence!

You see, I'm so happy that if you were in Marseille, I would have treated you to a beer to celebrate this! Thanks again!

Hi GSP842,
It's definitely better when it's plugged in, it works better that way, happy for you and best of luck moving forward.
See you!

What I didn't understand is how you connected it before. For everyone, in a 2.1 system, we connect the satellites to the subwoofer and the subwoofer to the audio output of the sound card. The amplifier is located in the subwoofer.
