IDT PC Audio stops working

Hello, when I open my computer, a message says: IDT PC Audio has stopped working and I need to reactivate it, but the computer goes to a white screen and I lose the program I was in, so I have to reopen it and it's frustrating to always start over. I sent a scan of this message to Microsoft to fix my problem but haven't received a response. I have a computer with Windows Vista. What should I do to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

    The brand is a DELL and the model is DIMENSION E 520.
    I don't have Windows Media Player in my programs. Is it important to have it? Should I run it or install it? I have programs like Windows: Live, Live Messenger, Live Movie Maker, Mail, Media Center, Movie Maker, Update, but not Windows Media Player. Would this cause a problem with the IDT PC Audio that stops functioning at any time? Thank you.
