Hello,
I would like to install Windows 7 Pro on a Toshiba Satellite C870D. I bought this laptop with Windows 8 installed. Windows 8 frequently crashes and I can't get used to this system. I would like to install Windows 7 Pro. I have a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit DVD with a license.
As a precaution, I replaced the HDD with a new one to keep my original HDD.
I also disabled the secure boot option in the BIOS.
I started by trying to boot from the DVD
Result --> Checking media [fail]
Unable to boot from the DVD
For your information, the DVD boots perfectly on my other laptop.
Then I prepared a bootable USB drive
Unable to boot from the USB drive
Result --> Checking media [fail]
For your information, the USB drive boots perfectly on my other laptop.
Do you have any information regarding this problem, any hints.... BIOS update?
P.S.: I wanted to register on the manufacturer's forum but I couldn't... error 403... pppfff

Hello
I finally found the solution.
Go into the BIOS setup and change the boot mode from "UEFI Boot" to "CSM Boot"

How to proceed if we don't have the "Secure Boot" option or even UEFI Boot or CSM in the BIOS?
So, I can't reboot from a CD.
