Good evening,
I have a little problem with the RJ45 ethernet.
My network card is visible by going to: view, show hidden devices.
Therefore, the wired connection is not possible and I have to use USB. When I use USB, the network card appears in the device manager. I no longer need to show hidden devices.
Can someone explain to me what steps to take to connect to my live box using only my ethernet cable?

Do you have any device with a yellow question mark in the device manager?
In theory, if the card is properly installed, you just need to plug the network cable into the Livebox and it should be fine.

Good evening, normally it's this one:
"high-speed local internet network"
you right-click on it then "properties" and check "show the icon......" it will appear in your taskbar.
you can also rename it (still right-click)
you can try to activate it (still right-click menu)
a question, is your ethernet port at the back of the PC integrated into the motherboard or is it a separate pci card? in the first case it must be enabled in the bios "onboard lan".
to know its exact specifications, download everest
once launched, choose "network" then "pci networks"

I have a REALTEK RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC integrated into the motherboard.
The problem is that it has vanished from my network connections as well as from my device manager.
I can see it in the device manager by going to "View" and selecting "Show hidden devices".
I try to delete it, but Windows tells me that this action is impossible because the network card may be required for startup.
Could you please help me find a solution to my problem? Thank you.

I have essentially the same problem.
Ethernet card fixed on the motherboard that becomes a hidden device with no possible connection. The connection wizard says it cannot find any hardware to make the connection.
Curiously, in the hidden network devices, I have a Fast Ethernet card compatible with VIA and a Fast Ethernet PCI RealTek RTL8139 Family card, whereas in reality I only see one Ethernet port.
Likewise, it is impossible to delete the network card.
However, I can't find the onboard LAN option in the BIOS.
I read in a forum that deleting a registry key could solve the problem, but it concerns a key related to PCI. Does this key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI) also pertain to cards integrated into the motherboard?

Is your network card recognized in the device manager?
Try removing it from the manager and restart your computer (This will uninstall it, and Windows will reinstall it on reboot)

My network card is recognized under the name of inventel gateway, which is the name of the livebox, but only when I am using the USB. If I unplug my USB, it shows my network card in the hidden devices. I can only right-click on properties, and there it says: network card. That's all.
How can I remove it another way?

This network card is a "virtual" card that allows your PC to use the Livebox via USB.
Do you have another network card? With an RJ45 connection? That is the one that needs to be properly installed in the device manager.

If it's blinking, that's already good, it means it's operational.
It should be present in your device manager.
You can see how many network connections there are by looking in Start -> Settings -> Network connections
