Change the username in Windows 8

I eventually found it: after the homepage, there is the page with the username and its avatar: to the left, there is a small arrow, you need to click on it, and all the users will appear, you choose the one you want to keep and you can then delete the others without any problem.

Christmas is over, but my granddaughter's computer has passed away!!!!
So, here I am again with a new computer to set up, with the same problem I had managed to solve with the precious help of abdoo.chahid, but this time I can't delete the account in my name, even though I set it to standard account and my granddaughter's account, which I added later, is an administrator account.
When I try to delete the account in my name (at: control panel - user accounts and family safety - delete user accounts), I get:
"windows cannot delete an account that is currently logged on"
I don't understand anything anymore!

you create a new account with the correct name, and then you delete the wrong account and its files.
