Hello,
I've been encountering an issue for a few days. When I open certain pages with Google Chrome, several scroll bars appear (I'll attach an image of the problem to help you understand better)
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/5517/sanstitrednb.png
The only way I've found to resolve the issue is by clicking on the wrench icon at the top right, then selecting "Show background pages" and removing the line that says "Shockwave Flash plug-in," but even after that, when I click on a new link, the problem reappears.
Is this a virus? Or an issue with my computer? I'm really confused and tired of this problem that arose overnight without me doing anything (or at least I don't remember...)
Thank you in advance for your help, which will be really valuable to me!!!!!!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 537.1

Hello,
try a little "cleaning" of your PC this way:
download Ccleaner and use it with Cleaner and Registry:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/5647-ccleaner/
then download Malwarebytes and update it, it's free.
Run it in its free version and delete anything it might find.

Restart the PC.

Hello, I have the same problem that appeared with the last update of Google Chrome at the beginning of August, I reported it to them! This issue is specific to Google Chrome, but it doesn't occur on all sites. I've searched everywhere to find a solution but nothing so far, and it seems we are not the only ones!!! However, I have another laptop and it doesn't happen there??? Go figure, Charles!!!

Hello, here's how to fix the double scrolling bar issue on Google: wrench icon > settings > show advanced settings > privacy > content settings > plugins > disable individual plugins > then look for the "flash" plugin (there should be 2 in principle) and the plugin containing "pepper plugin" in its title version 11.3.31.225, disable it (without touching the second one) and then restart Google Chrome, and in principle, that should do it: no more double scrolling bar.

It totally worked for me! Thank you, Julien.

Sure, thank you Julien.

Puree so good it worked for me too thanks Julien!!!!
Hello and thank you for the quick response!!!
I did everything you told me, then I restarted my PC, but unfortunately, the problem is still there... I really don't understand where it could be coming from. Is there anything else to do?
Thank you in advance!

Re,
always go to the wrench icon and then click on "About Google Chrome" if you haven't done it, it's to update it.

Hello everyone,
Has your problem been resolved?
I reinstalled all the plugins in vain.
I think we just have to wait for a new Chrome update :D
I have exactly the same problem, it doesn't bother me too much to have a double scrollbar. However, what really sucks is that it creates a cursor offset.
Best regards
Aya

Still nothing for me, I really hope that as you said, things will improve with the next Google update. And yes, what bothers me too is that damn cursor lag!!!!!! ><
Hello Metaphor.
I posted a message on the Google Chrome help forum, here is the link:

For me, the approach didn't work, but maybe it will work for you.

Hello, follow this procedure to solve the double scrollbar issue on Google: wrench > settings > show advanced settings > privacy > content settings > plugins > disable individual plugins >, then look for the "flash" plugin (there should be 2 of them) then the plugin containing "pepper plugin" in its title version 11.3.31.225, disable it (without touching the second one) then restart Google Chrome and in principle, that’s it: no more double scrollbar.

I forgot to mention that when the plugins window opens, you need to click on "details" at the top right of the window and then look for the "flash" plugin. In the details of "flash," you should have two plugins, and it's the one that includes the term "pepper flash" that needs to be disabled as indicated in my previous message!
Hello, here’s how to fix the issue of double scroll bars in Google: click on the wrench icon in Google Chrome, then go to >Settings>Advanced settings>Privacy>Content settings>Plugins>Disable individual plugins. The plugins window will appear, click on "Details" at the top right, then look for the "Flash" plugins (there should be 2), then find the plugin containing "pepper plugin" in its title version 11.3.31.225, disable it (without touching the second one), then restart Google Chrome and that should do the trick: no more double scroll bars.
