Hello,

I want to buy a mini chain and I was told this output specification: 2 x 5 WATT (RMS). I don't know what that means and I would like to know if this power is sufficient for a home party during the holidays. I want a device that is powerful. Thank you.

<config>Windows XP / Safari 536.11</config>

    hi
it all depends on the number of people you plan to host ....
if it's for about ten, it will be fine .... From fifteen or less you might be limited ...
Just so you know, some TVs "have" 2x10w, but generally, it's 2x5w!
anyway to make it short ....
I advise you around 2x20w to be comfortable and to avoid being at full volume all the time!
ps: always consider the power in rms (that's the real one) ...
if one day you see a power like 2x10w musical it corresponds to about 2x5w rms, so be cautious ...
