Hello,

So my problem is that I have a PC monitor (this one: https://www.grosbill.com/4-iiyama_ple2473hds_b1-131796-peripheriques-24pouceswide#fiche_technique)
I have the following connections: D-Sub, DVI-D, 2 x HDMI

And I would like to connect it in any way to my antenna socket, but there is no antenna socket on my monitor. Is there any means, an adapter or a box to solve my problem?

PS: I saw that there are USB TV sticks (https://www.grosbill.com/4-terratec_cinergy_t_stick-96237-informatique-tcarte_reception_tnt) I would be willing to buy one, but where would I plug it in since I don't have a CPU? x)

Hello

You want to use your PC monitor as a TV via an antenna!
It's not possible, your monitor is not a TV.
You can use a TV as a second screen (projector)
But not a PC monitor as a television.
You said yourself that you don't have the connections.

So the best solution is to connect my laptop to the antenna and project the image from my PC onto the computer screen?

Hello!

A HD digital terrestrial receiver with HDMI output should do the trick. There are good and inexpensive options, like the Akira DHB-36HR for €60.

First of all, a big thank you for responding.

Good idea, but can you explain the connections in detail? Because if I invest 60€, I don't want it to not work, understand me ^^

Certainly Antenna > box

then box > screen with HDMI

Hello
Do you forget about the sound processing that a computer screen doesn't always have? Or if it's of low quality, the HDMI connection will provide the image for sure; it's up to you to sort out the sound, which by default on the PC monitor can be connected to the Akira box via RCA jacks with a small set of computer speakers or an old hi-fi system that's been neglected that can be put back into service.
Friendly regards

The monitor has speakers; will the sound not be recognized?

Hello
I am using a Terratec TNT HD key (Cinergy T Stick RC MKII) with satisfaction, but as you said, it requires a central unit, in my case a laptop that includes the software provided with the key for managing reception, scanning and storing channels, and direct or scheduled recording. The computer needs to be recent so that its graphics card can deliver HD image quality (on the side, my old tower, which is five years old, does not reproduce HD, so on my desktop computer I have to make do with SD channels using the Terratec key) but there is no problem with the laptop, which is one year old. So to summarize after this chatter, the Terratec key will be useless in your case!
bye
