Hello,

I just bought a Q-Sonic USB Video Converter https://www.pearl.fr/article/PX8048/convertisseur_video_audio_vers_usb_vhs_2_pc
I tried to digitize a VHS but it only gives a pink and green video with no sound

Is it the AVI format that is not suitable?
PS: I am using Ulead Video Studio
<config>Windows XP /

Hello, yet another bug to add to the list of USB drives that I criticize
while others recommend them because they're cheaper
    Video transfer box
Hello, to transfer the content of an analog VHS, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 tape, you need to connect the camcorder or VCR to an "external box" that handles the conversion of the "analog stream to digital" and connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to MPEG2, a format that's easy to burn and compatible with all players, and allows for editing with "Studio"
Connect the box and camcorder using an S-VHS recommended connection or composite (less good) (yellow RCA) and a cord for sound (2 red, white RCA) for the VCR <strong>you need a SCART connection with an adapter or cord with the "out" direction or with an in-out switch</strong> S-VHS or composite yellow RCA output (less good) plus sound, two RCA outputs red white
I recommend the Dazzle box, either "Recorder" or "Video Creator, Platinum" depending on your needs the price of the software included with the latter makes the product interesting and reliable
there are cheaper products but be careful, it can lead to a lot of hassle

the image quality can only be judged on the TV screen once the film is burned
