Hello,
is it dangerous to use an LCD TV with a cracked glass panel that has several fissures covering about one-third of the screen? The damaged area represents about one-tenth of the screen.
Let's say it's just for gaming and the non-visible part doesn't bother me that much, but is it dangerous (gas or liquid emissions or risk of implosion...)?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 535.7

Good evening, it’s actually surprising that it still works!
If it suits your needs, why throw it away, if it works for you...
If any liquid leaks or if it smells like hot plastic, throw it away.
Remember to only plug it in when in use... the rest of the time: unplug it.

I think there’s more than one dead pixel ^^
There’s no more warranty

No more warranty... It will cost you more in repairs than in buying a new one...

If you see double, it's because you haven't had enough float!

Are you sure it's "cracks" and not dead pixels?
I don't recommend using it for gaming or anything else.

However, I suggest taking it to small computer shops in your town. They should be able to assess more easily than I can what can actually be repaired on your screen. And, get repair estimates done. There may be differences in price and warranties between the different places that can replace your screen. Make sure to check carefully!!

Hello
If he was there, it's for a good reason; a broken slab poses no other danger than cracking more (it's not a bomb like the cathodic ones!) take a tissue, have a good cry, and put it back where it was (the trash is not good, the recycling center is better)
at the next sales, break your piggy bank; there are sometimes very good deals
bye
