Screen resolution issue Windows 7 Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I just installed Windows Seven on my Samsung P200 12-inch laptop and I can't seem to adjust the best resolution for my screen.
I've already tried customizing my resolution in the settings, but I only have two options available: either 800x600 or 1024x768, and in the second case, I'm not satisfied with the image quality... All my drivers are up to date, and in the "display" section, it states "Generic Plug and Play Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter."
Could someone help me to get more resolution options?

Are you sure about that?
Reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and you should once again have a more appropriate choice of resolutions :)

Yes, I went to check, and it indicates that the base index is 1.0 for graphics and game graphics, and from what I've read, that's very low... but I see that my index is updated... do you have a solution? Thank you.

What graphics card do you have? The image is correct... what’s the problem? On a netbook, the resolution can't go much higher; you might just be at the maximum that your screen can support..

Yes, it was actually quite simple ;) ... my computer mentioned that everything was up to date because it doesn’t take into account drivers that need to be installed outside of the system, so I had to download a newer driver for my graphics card from the manufacturer’s website ... strange that it said everything was up to date! Same problem for me but solved on Nvidia. Install Nvidia GeForce Experience and check if there are driver updates to be made, and it's very important to do them in custom mode otherwise you will have to start over! [Sorry for the spelling mistakes]
Also, I was scared at first because I was on my parents' PC and I'm not normally allowed to go on it.

Like some of you, I had a screen resolution problem. I'm on Windows 10 and this is the second time it's happened to me. I just fixed it in a very simple way: I opened my PC, then I clicked on Power, and then I clicked on Restart. My PC restarted correctly, as if it had performed an automatic restore. Q.E.D., no need to mess around, risking worsening the problems when you’re a novice.
