Hello everyone,
I come to ask for advice because I will soon be acquiring a Xperia Play.
I would like to know, especially about the games, does the controller work with any Android games or other games? What type of games? Only .apk files?
Will a game downloaded from the internet recognize the Xperia Play controller?
Is there a system or software that prevents us from installing games from sources other than the market app? (For example, the iPhone only accepts games downloaded from the Apple Store) Is it the same for the Play?
The downloaded games, I specify, are .apk files and games purchased from the internet (nothing illegal in all of this).

The games, whether downloaded legally (or not), are an APK; after that, it has to be an APK for Xperia Play! It doesn't matter where you got it, as long as it was made for that model! You can find it easily on the internet, but I'm not allowed to give you links, sorry!

Thank you very much for your response, thomazzd. Are there many games available or is the catalog still small? Are the games worth paying 4 euros (or more depending on the game) for? Do they come fully loaded or less? Because I've seen some excerpts from certain games and they look pretty good! (e.g., Modern Combat, Nova 2, Crash ...) The Gameloft games seem great from the snippets, but for 4 euros (or more), I'd like to know if they are really complete. Thank you for your answer.

Thank you very much for these clarifications. I think that the fact that it is Android will please me anyway ^^, they have a pretty large catalog of games. However, tell me if you can provide me with the information; I think I already have the answer, but I would like confirmation: the Xperia Play also offers the ability to play PlayStation 1 games (which is great because there are some amazing ones). Even if the games are downloaded from the internet (PSone games), I saw that you could convert them to play on the Xperia Play using a software program, but is it for all games? Or just a few? If you have two or three names? Does the controller work with all PSone games? Thank you very much in advance for your response.

Well complete, yeah ^^ quite short but really entertaining! One that I really like is Ganstar or 4mm, but they are quite short, like every game nowadays!

Well, listen, "in my opinion," knowing that PS1 games are in EBOOT format, there must either be an app that runs them, or a conversion software EBOOT => APK, or PS1 games converted by Android for X-play. I'm leaning more towards the third solution.

Ok thanks, I found online, there is an app (I'm not sure if it still works) and there's another one directly sold by Android but I don't know if the PS1 games are free (to see later). Indeed, Android already has some PS1 games but not much compared to what is offered online, anyway thank you very much for your information that really helped me get to know the phone better. See you later.
