Hello,
I am looking for software that can create images like these: http://www.windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/products/home
(the cardboard photos of Windows 7)
on the Windows XP system.
Thank you in advance for your response!

Hi,
The problem is that I clearly see 2 software options for doing this: Gimp (for bitmap), or Inkscape (for vectorial)...
But like with any software, there’s bound to be an adjustment period...
So, if it's just the box that interests you... gift:

;-)
See you later

but which software did you use to create this image?
thank you for your answers!
A little retouching with Gimp...
;-)
thank you
Well, the steps won't be of much help to you if you don't know Gimp...
-> you start with an image of the box
-> on new layers, you apply the edits (brush, gradient...)
-> then, you flatten the image and fine-tune with the smudge tool...
Now, a software like Gimp is "mastered" over time and with practice...
