Hello,

For some time now, each time I start my PC (running Vista), the time and date are incorrect: it starts at December 31, 2006, at 11:00 PM!

Do you think I need to change the BIOS battery, or could the problem be coming from somewhere else?

Hello,

The date and time, when the microphone is turned off, are maintained by a button-type battery, which is usually fixed to the motherboard. If the date and time are incorrect, it is highly likely that this battery needs to be replaced (especially if the microphone is several years old...).

Please note that not all batteries are the same, and it is absolutely necessary to retrieve the original one before purchasing a new one.

Have a great day.
