Hello,
I installed the YES WE SCAN film and slide scanner, model YWS01, with the accompanying installation CD. When I start the scan, Windows crashes and the PC reboots. A fleeting information screen appears that I don't have time to read.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
(Windows XP, Acer Aspire PC).
Thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

PHOTO2Filedriver did not install any drivers that enabled the use of the YWS01.
It was detected as "Camera 338", and I found the correct driver here: http://www.driverscape.com/download/338-camera
Once installed, the scanner is renamed "Vimicro ...." and Blaze is able to utilize it. -
Solutions to get the Yes We Scan YWS01 slide scanner from INOVAXION and ArcSoft Photo Impression working with Windows XP - Windows Vista and Windows 7.
With the Yes We Scan YWS01 slide scanner connected via USB to a Windows XP PC, it took several hours of frustration to install it, after uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and the ArcSoft Photo Impression software, and it never worked!
Conclusions: Using the original CD Yes We Scan from INOVAXION.com, it's pointless to insist, the driver once installed is never recognized by the image management software "ArcSoft Photo Impression"... It's a pity for ArcSoft, but the results are evident.
What works very well, taking into account and gathering advice found here and there on the web, is with "BLAZE PHOTO" to be implemented in this order (important):
1. First, importantly, disconnect all other devices connected to other USB ports (webcams, etc...) don’t ask me why, but when my webcam was connected, it didn’t work for the installation...
2. Especially DO NOT CONNECT the YWS film-slide scanner.
3. Install the driver first and only with the program "PHOTO2FILEdriver" which installs the driver for the scanner "OVT SCANNER X86" and the file "apl531" in the list of drivers in Windows XP. The program updated in September 2010 can be found on the site: https://6500leyland.com/ at the page: http://spectareproducts.com/support/PhotoSaver/PhotoSaver-drivers-FILM.html
Program to download here: http://spectareproducts.com/support/PhotoSaver/UPDATE_NOV2010/Photo2FileDriver.exe
4. Restart the PC.

Hello,
The problem is that I can't find the manufacturer's website and the documentation I have doesn't really help me.
Best regards. -
Hello,
it could indeed be a driver issue. I advise you to go directly to the manufacturer's website of your hardware and try to find the latest drivers compatible with your system.
